Where desktop wins

Software you stop noticing.

A web or phone app isn’t always the right answer. Desktop wins when the work is fast, repeated, or has hardware involved.

Point-of-sale & checkout

Cash drawer, receipt printer, barcode scanner, all wired in. Fast keyboard shortcuts for repeat transactions.

Kiosks & lobby stations

Self-check-in, sign-in sheets, customer queue. Locked down so nothing else runs on the device.

Counter & service desk

Order intake, ticket creation, parts lookup. The kind of work a phone screen would slow you down on.

Heavy data entry

A real keyboard with shortcuts saves hours when you’re punching in dozens of records a day.

Printing & labels

Receipt printers, label printers, shipping labels. Direct-to-printer support that works.

Runs offline

When the internet drops, the app keeps going and syncs when you’re back online.

A flat monthly rate, not a big deposit.

No deposits or project invoices. A monthly fee covers the entire build, plus the changes that come after. Cancel any time once the minimum term ends, and you own the end-result either way.

How it works

From first idea to up and running on your computers.

  1. Stage 01

    Walk through the work

In person or over a video call, we spend time learning how the work really happens day to day and where things slow you down.

  2. Stage 02

    Try it on one computer

We build the app and get it running on a single machine first, so we can iron out any surprises before it lands on the rest.

  3. Stage 03

    Set up everywhere

We get the rest of your computers up and running, train your team, and stay close by for the first month in case anything comes up.

Common questions

Things people ask before getting started.

Don’t see yours here? Ask us directly.

Windows or Mac?
Windows by default. That’s what most small-business counter machines run. We can do Mac if your business is on it; we’ll cover that during discovery.
What if the internet goes down?
The app keeps working. Everything saves locally and syncs automatically when the connection comes back. Customers don’t notice.
How do updates get to my computers?
Built-in auto-updates. The app checks on launch, downloads the new version in the background, then applies it next time it starts. We can also ship updates with a manual prompt if you prefer.
What about my receipt printer / scanner / cash drawer?
Tell us what hardware you have during discovery and we’ll confirm support before quoting. Most small-business hardware works without issue.
How does this compare to a web app?
Web apps are great when staff log in from anywhere and don’t need hardware. Desktop wins when speed matters every minute, you’re wired to printers and scanners, and downtime means losing sales. If a web app is actually the better call, we’ll say so during discovery.
